Virtual launch event, 31 January 2022, 5pm
What impact does the ongoing pandemic, the debate on vaccination, economic consequences, such as rising inflation, supply chain bottlenecks, raw materials crisis, or the new government's election have on trust in social institutions? The record levels of trust recorded at the start of the pandemic have sharply declined. Trust is now being put to the test worldwide, including in Germany. The results of the Edelman Trust Barometer 2022 clearly show which institutions have failed to meet people's expectations and provide an insight into what it will take for them to gain trust and solve the major societal challenges we are facing today.
At our virtual event in cooperation with the Atlantik-Brücke, Richard Edelman, President & CEO Edelman, and Christiane Schulz, CEO Edelman Germany, revealed the level of trust in institutions in Germany and around the world. In the panel discussion, they discussed with Angelika Gifford, Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa, Meta; Member of the Board, Atlantik-Brücke, and Gyde Jensen, Member of the German Bundestag (FDP), Deputy Chairwoman of the FDP Parliamentary Group, German Bundestag, what steps government and business can take now in order to gain trust. The event was moderated by Dr. David Deißner, Executive Director Atlantik-Brücke.
