Robert Labas joined Edelman Smithfield in January 2022 as Executive Director. Based in Frankfurt, he is responsible for the entire capital markets portfolio in the EMEA region.
His focus in capital market communications includes M&A and investor relations. He also supports companies in special situations such as management changes, litigation, shareholder activism and restructurings. Over the past 10 years, he has advised more than 30 companies, including several DAX-listed corporations, on transactions and complex challenges in strategic communications.
Prior to joining Edelman Smithfield, Robert Labas worked for the communications consultancies Gauly and Hering Schuppener (now Finsbury Glover Hering). He studied media economics at the University of Siegen and completed executive education programs at the London Business School (LBS) and European School of Management and Technology (ESMT Berlin).
