Before that, she was a member of the German Executive Board of Ketchum Pleon. Schulz kicked off her career as a business consultant at the Landeskreditbank Baden-Württemberg where she later assumed responsibility for the entire external communications division. Christiane Schulz has been President of the Gesellschaft Public Relations Agenturen GPRA since May 2017.
During her career, Christiane Schulz has supported a variety of multinational blue-chip companies in various sectors in transforming their organisational structures. In recent years, her focus has been on developing change and employee engagement strategies. She also avails of extensive knowledge in the area of data analytics as well as digital and tech expertise.
Carol Potter, President & CEO Edelman EMEA: “Edelman is intensifying its consulting approach in Germany, the largest economy in the EU, and in doing so, relies on top-class personalities. Christiane is an experienced communications expert, strategic consultant and successful manager. We are delighted to be able to welcome her to our company at the end of the year. She avails of an extensive trove of experience and has ambitious plans which fit well with us. I look forward to seeing how, under her management, Edelman in Germany is developed to become the most modern and most innovative communications agency in the market.”
Christiane Schulz, on her new role: “I am very much looking forward to Edelman and in particular to joining an independent and owner-managed company. As I have previously only worked in network agencies, this step will open up many new opportunities. I can’t wait to take on the current challenges of the DACH markets. I would say that I can apply my strengths – transforming companies and creating a strong and collaborative culture – perfectly here. I envisage great potential for us in Germany and it will be my task to tap it.”
Christiane Schulz will commence working for Edelman Deutschland in November 2019 and manage the Edelman offices in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne and Berlin from her base in Berlin.
