Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli (46) will head the newly-created area of Corporate Reputation at Edelman Deutschland in her capacity as Managing Director as of January 2020. This area will comprise the two teams of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications. Hestert-Vecoli will manage the Corporate Reputation Practice from Berlin and report directly to Christiane Schulz, CEO Edelman Deutschland.
Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli was most recently responsible for the area of Public Affairs in her capacity as Division Manager at Burson Cohn & Wolfe. Before that, she held various management positions at Weber Shandwick where she worked for a total of 18 years.
She earned a Master of Arts in philosophy and German literature at the Humbold University in Berlin. She also studied theology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. Publications include “Die Enthüllung des Politischen – Plädoyer für ein erweitertes und integriertes Verständnis von Public Affairs”, published in 2019 in “Marken als politische Akteure”, Springer Gabler publishing company.
